Vernon Davis, The Voice of Reason
I would have preferred he kept quiet.
But I have to think vernon may be speaking for the entire locker room. Anyone think so as well?
thats the reason i like vernon, he's not a b***h, he's gonna speak up when he feels he's right. i totally agree with what he said. if crabtree doesnt like it he can hold out and lose millions of dollars in the 2010 draft

I applaud Vernon for the move.
He's probably only saying what most people are thinking.

i said that in a thread the other day but i cant find the thread anymore haha. it would cost a lot but if Hill or Smith pan out this year we could secure a RT and two bad ass DT's or 1 DT and FS and be set for years to come
This coming from the same guy who was told to "hit the showers" by the HC last year during a game? I am not sure this is the guy I would be listening to.

Vernon Davis is awesome.
Hopefully Crabtree's action create the contrast that shows there's a difference between a diva like him, and a passionate hardworking mother f**ker like Vernon Davis.

"Then, one day later, Michael Crabtree, the San Francisco 49ers' recent first-round pick and a sure-handed, slow-afoot J.J Stokes impersonator"

I think Vernon and Willis need to have a private talk with crabtree. I bet crabtree would take any offer after that

A wasted pick. Let him re enter the draft. 4.7 speed and a banged up foot and a bad attitude isn't going to cut it in the NFL anyway. I didn't like the pick anyway. I don't care if he isn't a part of our team. Let him move on.

I am totally against the idea of wanting to get paid based on mock drafts. The bottom line is the Raiders took DHB. We can laugh now, because that is the easy thing to do.....but if follow the NFL for more than lets say 3 seasons you quickly realize that the Mock Draft world is an absolute joke, and the real drafters in the NFL don't do so hot either.
In other words, it is a field that has NO experts. None exist.
Therefore the idea of paying someone based on the likelihood the Raiders made the wrong choice is preposterous.
BUT
How about this as a compromise. I happen to agree that I think Crabtree is the best WR of this class.
So, why not offer him a 4 year contract? Basically, go ahead and prove your worth over the next 3 seasons and you will get extended then??

Not to mention is one of the hardest workers on the team and tries as hard as he can to help the team out.
