I don't think so.
I think it's important, and it'd be nice to win on the road after the bye, but there's still 10 games after this one.

well yeah thats true with 10 games left but with a young team like the one we have i dont think we can afford to have any more heartbreaks or break downs like we already have had it just could bring the whole team down also having Indy after this game would not help at all either
we can be looking at 3-4 IF we lose to Houston & Indy
how would Singletary rally the troops if we have 3 straight losses???

This game will define what kind of team we are either the first 3 games or the Atl game we have all the advantages and should win.

I agree! With the Cards' upcoming 6 games, they will most likely go 4-2. That will put them at 7-4 on the year. Most likely, if our team shows to be more the team against the Vikes than the Falcons...we will go 3-3 over the next 6 games. That means we will be a game back of the Cards at that point. The Niners really need to win every game they SHOULD win and beat a few good teams along the way. This is obvious I know but overall the Niners REALLY need to beat the Texans to develop some steam.

I completely agree. In some ways, we HAVE to win this one. Coming off a complete blowout and a bye week, the product we will see on the field against the Texans should be the most well-planned, motivated effort we should see all year. If we come out flat or even end up losing this game, it will be very telling about our whole team's personality and character. Also, at 3-2 now, going below .500 at 3-4 after surely losing to Indy the following week would put us in panic, must-win mode for the rest of the season down the stretch for the NFC crown.

We should be careful in this game, but the Texans aren't like the Falcons. They may have some damaging talent, but the teams they've damaged/lost to (thus far) have either been overrated, or mediocre teams.
You don't really have a measurement for success/bragging rights when you've had the privilege of opening your first 4 games against the Titans, Raiders, and Jags (and they couldn't even beat the Jags, which was a team that barely beat the Rams yesterday). -Seriously, it's no wonder Matt Schaub looks like a pro-bowler right now, he's been facing division II defenses for the most part.
Anywho, I never underestimate any team, but if the Week 1-4 49ers return to this game we have what it takes to dance with these guys.
