Smith haters need to STFU. He was the only reason we had a chance in that game and it wasn't his fault we got those delay of game penalties, it was that we haven't been running the spread offense and people were confused. The INT came on a last ditch effort where you throw it up and hope for the best.

Alex Smith is our new Starting QB.

Dude, the entire game the plays have been coming in late. That is the coaches fault for the delay of games.

imo spwcial teams lost this game not just da fumble but the fact that I don't remember seeing 1 punt return just fair catches only offnese & defense played this game special teams didn't do anything at all this lose on them let's go giants & let's re group for colts niners still in the mix just gotta weather the storm & improve

Smith at least proved in this game that he deserves to start. He might also have shown that our offensive personnel can flourish in a more wide open offense.

You guys crack me up.

Alex Smith led multiple last minute game winning drives when he started. That was a poor throw but clutchness is the least of Alex's problems.

He converted on 3rd downs all day. Unfortunately Roman, Raye, special teams, and the O-line let him down.
