Having poor field position after every punt to you is a Hell of a lot better than a turnover deep in your territory.

The greatest thing that I find hilarious about this whole situation is on one hand you have Shakey moody who you can't count on to actually make any kicks but can kick touchbacks.

On the other hand you get a kicker who can actually make kicks your too scared to put him in because if you put the ball in play you might actually give up a touchdown on the return because the coverage is so bad.

It's like a catch 22 of special teams ineptitude.

Also hilarious how you let Luter do the same exact play as in the Superbowl and create another muffed punt. He's got to be one of the dumbest players on the field at a given time.

Gotta give it to the special teams coordinator to let it happen not once but twice with the same player...

Pathetic. You can't continuously be this bad on Special Teams. It's such an important 3rd Phase of the game...they've been even worse this season. This all falls squarely on Shanahan.

They just signed that CB who was let go by the Giants. Has experience in ST so we'll see if he is an improvement, which should be automatic.

our special teams is awful and has arguably cost us every game we've lost this year, and they nearly gave up another yesterday. It's time for that entire unit to wake tf up
