Seriously. Of course the alternate uniforms are designed to make money. That is literally the only reason that you have them. I am so surprised at the level of butt hurt in here over alternate uniforms. Who cares? It's two games out of the year, and a bunch more merchandise for sale.

simple,. its just another way to try to rip the niner front office and owner. its that simple. people act like its a crime for the team to try to make money. would it make you people feel better if we were a welfare team. i guess we are the only nfl franchise or sports franchise looking to make money? i guess since we or jed does it, that means our franchise and jed is evil

Don't get me wrong. I'm a capitalist pig just like Jed and I want the team to have resources to be viable long term. I also hope that he puts his money where his mouth his and "wins with class". He of all people was reared as a part of this team back to the glory days. Learning from his uncle's mistakes and doing something that actually has a connection with this team's past would be nicer than a black jersey. Is it too much to ask for both?

a black jersey has nothing to do with anything you just said in my opinion. i never entered this arena til today and while i should not be shocked, I am surprised at how nutsy people are about this. how they play is more important to me than what they wear. been a fan since 1972, saw some red and gold/yellow team colors one time and that never stopped me from rooting for them

rgb stands for red gold and black right? why.

I am a uniform nazi. I was really overly-concerned when the team changed their uniforms five years ago. You know what? They totally nailed it (except for those sleeve stripes... I don't know why they still haven't fixed those). The reason I was so concerned was that those were the every game uniforms. I do think it's important that the every game uniforms be done right, and reflect the history of the team. Players come and go. Coaches, GMs and owners come and go. I still remember those uniforms from when I was a kid, and it was important to me that the every game uniforms reflect that. These are alternate uniforms. They will be worn a maximum of two games a year. They don't have to tie into the teams history at all. Let them have some fun. Frankly, I'd like this franchise (AND IT'S FANS) to get the history stick out of their a** once in a while, and actually do something new and different. Look forward, rather than backward all the f*****g time. This is for fun! Let it be fun! After an offseason of nay-saying, and fans going at each other let's just have some fun with this for once. It's not a big deal.

If its black then it will be way too hot at Levi's Stadium for the fans that buy the black alternate jerseys. People will be passing out left and right from heat stroke because of the black uni's. Black attracts heat!!
