Plus the look had cache and title ties. We basically could look like any of our title teams at any point during the season. Also the 1994 give a nod to the 50s (million dollar backfield, etc...). It encompasses our entire heritage.

You know what looks traditional? The uniforms that we will be wearing in 14 games this season. I like our regular uniforms a lot, and I like them because they encompass our history. They look a lot like what we've always worn. That's great.

But let's drop this history garbage on everything. Every coach gets compared negatively to Walsh, no QB is good enough to live up to Montana or Young. Hell, even Young was blasted because he couldn't live up to Montana. No WR is good enough because they aren't Rice. It's all too much. Why can't we ever do something that isn't mired in our history? But again, I don't want to forget about this one important thing. Maybe you would have liked a 94 throwback, but it would have taken just as much heat. Because you guys are just never happy, and are looking for any opportunity to take a crap on everything. It sucks. It's not just the Webzone, it's on other sites too, but it's way worse here. You guys are the top ranked 49er trolls. So you got that going for you.

You know why, because we are a blue blood franchise and that's pretty damn impressive considering we don't go back to the 20's with our history. I don't think it's too much to ask to have our Alts be based in team colors and be tied to one of our most dominant stretches.

I mean why stop at all black, why not have some s**t like Oregon and use that Nike "volt" color. If they truly had a hard on for a monochrome look they should have tinkered with an all red or all gold look. While I don't like the all black look, what really pisses me off is the second rate execution of the look. It's beyond cheap and looks like shot.

I agree with you in general, but these jerseys are ugly as sin. The fans have every right to be upset about this.

Black is NOT a 49ers color. It has no business being a primary color. In 2009 we went back to a traditional, classic look. This totally flies in the face of that.

They dont even match the helmets. Im against negativity just to be pessimistic, but there is no defending these uniforms.

These jersey's look retarded. I would have rather seen 1994-95 jerseys but it makes sense financially. People are gonna buy these hideous looking jersey's up. If they put as much effort into winning a Super Bowl as they do trying to make money, the York's would be decent owners.
