Alternate jerseys are ALWAYS about revenue. The team already has a good look. They want something new to market to the fans to sell more jerseys. The 49ers made this decision, not the players. Probably because they know the fans are going to be PISSED this year, and they arent going to be able to rely on the newness of the stadium to get fans to look past the ridiculous ticket pricing.
Players designed it, it takes years for it to go through the process. So they couldn't just do because of this year..tickets are not even that expensive

one hopeful thing is if the pants color was changed to white, but the striping colors kept the same, it'd look nearly exactly like the 1955/1994 pants
the pants stripes now that i look at it match the shoulder stripes, so gold accents on the pants striping aren't neccesary
numerals however still need gold trim IMO
You see! event this looks better than what they really are.
The gold trim isn't to crazy, but its enough to make it look nicer. i would be more ok with this, than what it really is.

It's 2015, embrace change. EVERYTHING CHANGES WITH TIME. I'm glad we got new jerseys. Yeah a little gold trim around the numbers might look better (to some). Quit whining so damn much, because if we have a winning season we'll all have black jerseys and will be talking MUCH shyt. Just support our team and roll with the times.

And no, we will not all have black jerseys. pretty sure less than half of the people don't like these jerseys.
I support our team, always have, but i don't' support the direction that Jed is taking this team.

Evidently the team leaders had some influence on these uni's. I don't hate or love them. Meh.
