We could do this if we wanted to. If the alternate was the 1994 design, we could change the decal on the helmet to the pre-1996 logo.

Completely different helmet. Has nothing to do with decals. Unless you have a throwback uniform as your alternate, you cannot change anything with your helmets.

They were going for all black and red. They couldve made it look nicer with gold or white outlining, but I think their whole interest was just pure red on black.

Keep the same base colors and use Gold for the numbers and names ?
