Any alt they would have decided on would have sold and been about business. However, a jersey based on the '94s, '60s or '50s would have also been based on heritage and not some black for the sake of black fade that started in the late 90s-early '00s.

Well it can be up to two games...but I get your drift. I was just so happy to finally get our colors back in 2009. I was hoping that any alt would be rich in history and I personally thought the 94 throws were a slam dunk. I just think more of a throwback type alt was the way to go. The thought of being able to look like any of our title team was very intriguing.

I still think this blacked out look could have and should have been done better.

Next year (2016) is our 70th, would've been nice to have a throwback already in place. But I'm sure we will get something along those lines in 2019 with the century anniversary.

black is fitting, were gonna be like the f**kin undertaker this year!!! people are sleeping on this team. we lost willis, who admitted hes not as fast or effective as he once was, a solid rookie who pussed out after one year and Gore. Bowman is back healthy, wilhoit is solid and played great last season, Gore is awesome but Hyde/Bush/Hunter and the new kid are more than capable of filling in for him. J Smith still may come back and we brought in his replacement anyway. added WAY more size and speed all over this team, Kap has been busting his ass and by all accounts looks ready to impress this year. ROMAN IS GONE!!! let em hate until they see us destroy a few teams. theyll come back around.

But yes this year is all about Coaching and Kap and these dumb black uniforms.

For the record I love the edit on the uniforms but I still bought the alternate 99 Aldon Smith because I wanted to support our guys. They chose this so I will rock this on gamedays but I absolutely love the edit here as it could be some sort of compromise of player wishes and our own tradition. The gold in our uniform has always been regal to me especially when we were winning. Red and gold baby! And now black ...
