New black jersey came today. It looks better in person than it did in the pics. Im still opposed to wearing black, but the jersey itself isnt as terrible as I originally thought.

I don't like that we went this direction for an alternative because I am an extreme traditionalist, BUT if you take away all that and ask to evaluate based purely on how the jersey looks in and of itself, it actually does look better in your picture than I expected. It looks good.

It is what it is -- perhaps in the future we'll see the '94 throwbacks make an appearance -- but for now I'm OK if we wear these alternates 2 games a year.

.. but that really has no significance w/the 49ers..

.. i mean, if you gonna have an alternative uniform, like the Bronco's (orange = original orange crush), or Pittsburgh's Steel Metal Stripes, you gotta have a significance.. Even Baltimore's Raven Black Uniform stood for the bird's real color..

We are the Miners 49ers, you gotta have some kinda gold up in there.. that's all im saying fellas..

Gold swoosh, gold helmets. The purpose of these werent to feature gold. Theyre black and red alts.
