I still HATE this alternate jersey and anyone purchasing one should be punched in the sack for supporting this decision (which is what your dollars will be viewed as, support that it was a good decision).

I don't like that we went this direction for an alternative because I am an extreme traditionalist, BUT if you take away all that and ask to evaluate based purely on how the jersey looks in and of itself, it actually does look better in your picture than I expected. It looks good.

It is what it is -- perhaps in the future we'll see the '94 throwbacks make an appearance -- but for now I'm OK if we wear these alternates 2 games a year.

The 49ers are going to do what they want regardless. If they really cared what the fans thought they wouldve had a vote on the design. They wanted to add an alt. uniform, and they let the players decide.

I was initially opposed to it since like many others on here I'm a traditionalist as well. 49ers are meant to be red and gold to the T! I get that. BUT, alternatives never really made sense for other franchises either…patriots have red alt jerseys, new york giants have red alternatives, chicago bulls have all green alternative jerseys: these are all storied franchises.

Doubt the team wears them every year. It'll be a nice change up if they come out wearing these un-announced before the game. That would pump up the crowd.

I liked the redesign someone posted with the gold trim around the numbers and on the pants but the reason I bought this jersey is because 1) I don't have an Aldon Smith jersey and 2) Our players chose this design so I will support them. These are our guys so they have my blessing if this makes them feel better on game days
