And you'd think they would have heard all the complaints about it by now the last several years....

Yep.
Theyre so fixated on making it so the stripes look even when the players their their sleeves taylored for pads. Half the time you cant even see them. Justin Smith practically turns his jersey into a tank top.
Just another strange, poor decision by the 49ers.

he has it that way to help his rushing ability. it makes sense he's have no sleeves. along with any pass rusher's for that matter. they just get in the way.
other than that, yeah. I'd like 3 full white stripes.

I know why he has it that way, Im just using that as an example of why making the sleeve stripes crooked is pointless.
And that pic you posted is of the current crooked sleeves. Smith is just wearing it the way they designed it to go.
They should just make retail jerseys with regular stripes. The fans dont wear shoulder pads.

I would have loved to see a charcoal grey like some of the Oregon duck uniforms and maybe add some darker tint to the gold helmets.but, I'm warming up to this. I think it's going to look pretty cool...

Well, crap.
After buying one and seeing it in person, im actually starting to like the black jerseys. Just the jersey itself though. I was just going to buy one for the collection and put it away. I hate that I dont hate them anymore. Im totally opposed to the 49ers wearing black uniforms. Its not a team color!
But somehow now that theyre official, quality made and licensed NFL versions that will be worn during games, the association with the crappy Chinese knock-offs isnt as strong. The gold swoosh actually pops really nicely.

Exactly, outside of having a stubborn, traditionalist/fundamentalist mentality, I feel like a majority of the dislike for the jerseys resided in the terrible leaked photo (i.e., low quality image on MANNEQUINS):
For me, the initial dislike subsided once I seen them worn by our actual players:
Now, I'm imagining how it will look when our 53-man roster run out onto the Levis grass [Bill Walsh Field] during a primetime game. I'm imagining how the uniform will look when the defense rallies behind Navarro Bowman, Eric Reid, and Aldon Lynch to make splash plays, or how a healthy Tramaine Brock will look returning a pick-6; how Anquan Boldin will look as he glides down the middle of a defense to convert on a tough 3rd down; or how Carlos Hyde will look as he does his best to make appease our disconnection from Frank Gore.
Truth is, it's growing on me and I'm okay with that.
Geez, I feel like a little girl putting this much thought into a man's uniform haha.

I don't like them. We should've gone with all red or an actual throw back like Red and White, with white helmets.
