I wish they would quit screwing around with the uniforms when they already have one of the best looking in the NFL. It's all about mo' money, mo' money.

Fortunately there's hundreds of other threads about that!

Joe heads to KC, does well, but not Tom Brady--well enough, and loses to the Bills and retires. Woulda, shoulda, coulda, is great and all, but Joe Cool's better days were long over.

good enough to beat young one on one

I will say this, at least the 94 throwbacks have a history with the team, as they're modified versions of a uniform the team wore in the 1950s.

If we're going to have an alternate uniform, I'd rather it have a historical connection then one that doesn't (like the freaking awful black uniforms)

There's no way they're not white. They'll be these uniforms:

Bruh. I guess you weren't around for that magical 1994 season.
the 85 team and the 89 team would have beat the 94 team. to many fans have no appreciation of what happened before the 94 over rated team that was basically bought unlike other teams before them

Ok, boomer

cc said nothing wrong. had to buy young a defense and that led to salary cap hell later

"Had to buy him a defense" lol good lord
norton,. dent who had his leg broke by norton. sanders.. and then our pass rush still sucked. had we not sweet talked tim harris back. we never would have won the super bowl in my opinion. i love young.. i think we just should have kept joe. trade young for derick thomas. that would have fixed the defense and we never would have had to go into salary cap hell

That right there explains the premise of your entire rant. Niners made the right move keeping Young. It kept the dynasty alive until 1998. If Montana remained starter, there were no guarantees.

Would have beat the cowboys with Joe. The only superbowl young won was with a stacked bought roster.
After the absolute disaster of the all black uniforms, how could anyone want to have the team try anything new? I Couldn't possibly be more stoked that these are back. And I have no doubt Kyle had a say in these as well as the road 94s returning in 2018.

For anyone wondering "why so many uniforms" one home, one away, one alternate and one "color rush" (even though this was abandoned) seems to be the current MO for the NFL.

I know it was traditionally only one home, away and alternate only. But the cawks for example have blue, white, gray and green jerseys and pants.

You are right. The NFL should have never implemented free agency.

Literally every team uses alternatives and yes it's mostly used so fans can go buy jerseys, so what? You're telling me if you ran a billion dollar organization you wouldn't find creative ways to make more money? The 49ers uniforms aren't going anywhere, and I know tons of fans have been wanting to see us bring back the 94 Red/Whites for a long time, bringing them back for a game or 2 won't hurt anyone. Fans on here just find things to complain about no matter how petty it is
I love the red throwbacks, but I really wish we would get back to the original SF logo on the helmet. The superstitious part of me knows we have not won a SB since we added the gold and bolded SF

Really loves these uni's. I'll buy Fred's once he's extended and all this talk about him being traded for Watson finally dies.
