I noticed the organization used the saloon font quite a bit last year in its media. I hope that was a sign of a permanent switch back to it.

I mean, to me the saloon font has been and should always be the font of the 49ers. Any merchandise with the name '49ers' on it should have it in saloon font.

Going away from the Quentin font was one of the dumbest moves in Niner aesthetic history.

I absolutely HATE that NFL jerseys put team names on the neck/chest area, but if we are going to have it there, I want the Quentin font, not that generic s**te logo we've had to see since 2005.

As others have pointed out, the organization has been using the Quentin logo more and more (end zones, wall padding in levis, merchandise) and even ESPN/CBS have noticeably used it as part of their on screen graphics .. but again an official permanent announcement would be golden.

I have zero doubt in my mind Kyle was the driving force behind this, along with s**tcanning those awful black uniforms in favor of the 94s.

Yeah it really does feel like Kyle wants to bring us back to our identity of the 80s and 90s. Now if we can change the SF logo back to old school one from that era, that would be the icing on the cake

(the red just seems to "pop" out more on the helmets, dunno if it's a brighter shade, but it just does...plus the team is undefeated in SB's with these on the helmets)
