ya they are now just wearing them on the field since '94 so kind of a big deal

I agree with the retail ploy. It makes sense to have multiple styles available. It's kind of lame only being able to by one or two different jerseys and have to own multiple of the same look with just a different number and name.

I totally disagree. The NBA has jumped the shark with jerseys. Every team has like 5-6 sets, and the City and Earned edition uniforms change almost every season. They're out of ideas, just designing random crap now to put out something new. They dont even have traditional home/road uniforms anymore.

If it's a retail ploy, they don't need to have the nfl approval. They can put out anything they want. Like all other merchandise out there

approval is only needed when they want to wear those jerseys on the field
still don't understand why the team & Nike can do proper 3 shoulder stripes on the throwbacks, but can't implement them on the regular jerseys

Like so many things now it's all about the money. Make more money off the fans that have to have every new jersey that comes out. As long as people keep buying them they'll keep coming up with new ones. You ever take a long look at the potato chip or beverage aisles in the grocery store. So many choices and yet they keep coming out with new ones. Do we really need biscuits and gravy flavored chips? We as a nation tend to overdo many things.

Maybe they just don't want 3 stripes on the current, modern jerseys? 🤔

I don't care for them personally, but they aren't awful either.

It's not that they can't, it's that the 49ers want the two stripes.

Nike makes what the teams want. They might have some design input, but the team has final say.

also, can someone tell JERRY RICE it's over !!!

He's taking away BOSA's spotlight !!!

Jerry Rice can do whatever the f he wants and considering he was on the 94 team I think it makes perfect sense for him to be out there. s**t I even bought his version of that jersey(tho that's mostly cuz I've been a major jersey jinx and I know I can't jinx the GOAT)

IF there's one player from that 94 team that should be wearing and marketing this uniform then it should be PRIME... he was the main reason we finally beat DALLAS.. and he was the main reason why HARPER did not do CRAP in the NFCCG...

Lol if there is any past player to represent the Niners, it's Jerry. Not Deion Sanders. Period. No matter what kind of uniform they are wearing

uhmmmmm, there's a guy name JOE and it looks like you've never heard of him ...

... and you're IN DENIAL if you think Rice had the better impact on the 94 team over PRIME..

Deion brought the SWAG to that entire DEFENSE... again, what did HARPER do in that NFCCG when PRIME shadowed him??

Harper got mauled by Sanders and PI was not called, I do remember that. That was a huge non call that went the 49ers way.

I'm too young to have been able to see Joe play, sorry. But I do know that Jerry represents both the Joe era, and the Steve era and is widely considered to be the best football player in history. He played for the team for 16 seasons; Deion played for 1. I don't care who impacted what for ONE season. Jerry impacted the team for 16 seasons, so he is the obvious one to represent the Niners when it comes to anything 49ers related.

Not dismissing the fact that Deion helped them win their last trophy, but to me there is no way he should be representing anything 49ers over Jerry.
