I know I'm in the minority, but the uniform switch we completed in 97....that was the best the Niners have ever looked.
New helmet, spiffed up logo with black accents instead of white, with a red facemask. White pants (changed a year later to metallic gold).
We looked good....best looking uniforms in the NFL. The 80s looks is fine, but the improvements made in the mid 90s (partially inspired by the 94 throwbacks) were really nice.
We didn't need to change. The uniforms were not something that was ever the problem with the 49ers.

I actually loved those uniforms too, i wish we woulda changed jerseys to like the same color of the 2000's but with the traditional format, i think that woulda been sick!!!

Yes. We started wearing them the year before that though. (1996-1997). The white pants stayed through 1997-1998 (Mooch's first year), and then in 1998-1999, they switched to the metallic gold pants, but kept the rest the same.
