I think if we were getting alternates we would know by now. The Cardinals unveiled their black alternates months ago.

Well, this is a throwback uniform we're talking about (specifally the 1955 red jerseys and the 1963 white jerseys with silver helmets and pants) and if I remember correctly, sometimes teams don't announce they're going to wear throwbacks until a few weeks before the actual game.
I think the first time the 49ers wore their 1980s throwbacks in 2002 for a MNF game vs Philly it came as a complete surprise to most people (during the week before).

Judging by the stuff on sale at the 49ers shop, silver is going to be the alt color
