for real though...the ONLY way white pants would ever balance out if you were to change the gold helmet to white - just like the c-c-card...f*ck that cant say it
Who needs balance?
There have been plenty of NFL uni combos where helmet color/jersey color/pants color are not uniform (A/A/A) or ''balanced'' (A/B/A) resulting in an (A/B/C) combo.
thats exactly why no one can ever argue with classics like pit, cle, indy, oak, and chi.
uhh...
PIT = black/black/yellow
CLE = orange/brown/white
CHI = navy/navy/white
the other 2 are the "balanced" colorA/colorB/colorA look.
make up your mind.
i think the 1994 gold/red/white and gold/white/white combo looks sick. it might even look better with a compromise look of silver helmets+94 jerseys/white pants
i dunno why i threw in cle maybe coz theyre ol school, but for the most the others use opposing colors to tie in each other. the 94 scheme looked like another team wearin our helmet lol. you aint the only one here who digs it so its all good but like i said to each his own.
Well technically it WAS another team's uniform, namely the mid-50's 49ers look combined with the 1989-95 helmet. They really maybe should've just gone all-out throwback by using the original plain red helmet with a silver stripe:
...but @ least with the gold helmet you could still tell it was the 49ers.

Exactly!! The original 49ers mined for gold, not silver. Silver is for the guys in the East Bay, not the Niners. 'Nuff said....

The 49ers had silver helmets and pants in their early years beacause the team's first head coach, Buck Shaw was nicknamed "The Silver Fox" (I believe beacuse of his hair) so silver was incorporated as a team color. Strangely, silver persisted as a team color up til the team's fourth head coach Red Hickey (originator of the shotgun formation) who went with the full-blown silver helmets and pants from 1960-63.

For the new "regular" unis, they really need to fix the broken stripes on the sleeves and bring back stripes on the socks!

You are correct about the stripes on the sleeves....other teams such as Green Bay and Pittsburgh have updated their classic uniforms with proper, legible stripes.....the Niners need to follow suit...so to speak.
That being said, I wholeheartedly disagree with the "stripes on the socks" suggestion. Frankly, I think those stripes make the uniform look "clownish"... Clowns wear striped socks like that. I want the Niner uniforms to look modern, clean, simple and classic. They are close to that but a few tweaks are in order.

Hmmm....this video has some effects that sort of show what silver 49ers helmets would look like in action:
