Yep.

Don't care about local news.

Until I hear something from Chip where he says Paraag was too involved in football decisions, or from Baalke who says Paraag overruled me on my s**t draft selections, I probably won't believe this crap either. Just seems like a lot of deflecting blame instead of taking personal responsibility.

Then what you want is just too much, and I have to believe that you are, in fact, Paraag Marathe. There's no way on earth that Chip or Baalke would EVER come out and admit that, and it's pretty naive to actually expect that high of proof before you start to believe credible sources.

Quite frankly, if this was as much of a big issue as you claim, then I don't think anyone would take this job then. Reporting to Paraag, and possibly getting your draft selections overruled.

Sorry, just seems way too absurd and overblown.

I guess we will see.
Ensatsu = Paraag.

Paraag is the same guy who's analytics and research came to a conclusion that hiring a football coach who had previously won a Superbowl is not a good idea because the odds of them winning another one is low. It is more likely that a coach who has not won a superbowl will win one first.

Our team will never sustain the long haul of a dynasty with this guy in this much power over it.

Maybe that is why the last two coaches had no other HC job prospects other than the 49ers and maybe that is why the coach before them "mutually parted" ways with the team.

Don't worry, someone will take the job and could possibly have a little success. But, the success won't last long.

This is why I don't really like discussing and providing counter view points, because then people always accuse me of being a corporate shill. Lol. I'm not. I just don't believe the news.

Also if I was Paraag, I'd be sitting in on interviews right now apparently instead of being bored at work browsing WZ.

its really not right to accuse somebody as someone else just because of an opinion.
There's a reason why the best coach we have had in about 20 years wanted nothing to do with Paraag mixing with football.
Why would Martha in the meeting room makes everyone feel threaten? Unless he's putting his 2cents in, which I don't think he's stupid enough to do, why would an NFL HC regard him any different than just another guy in the room.

Maybe Jed ask him to be in the meeting room to be his eyes and ears of what's happening from week to week with the team. Or the guy just wants to learn a little more of football and the players he's working the salary cap for.

People are turning him into someone sinister.

Have you seen the old vid of Walsh preparing his team for the coming game...its fascinating if you are involved with the team even as fans

I know man. its ridiculous. I think its because he's indian or of indian heritage. I'm serious when I'm saying that. Indians typically don't play football (well in college and professionally) so when people hear that he's in meetings they seem have a judgement. just my opinion.

Lol. 7 posts. Looks like Paraag has a few family members or too much time on his hands while he's "working" on 4949.

BS! This f**k has his hand in everything...and it's local columnist talking to guys that sit in those players/coaches meetings.

Matt Barrows is a well respected beat writer in SF, he's not making his up.

I think he is definitely putting his two cents in, the guy felt comfortable telling Harbaugh what plays to call so I doubt he had much problem chiming in on what happened in meetings.

Jed and Paraag add no value to those meetings. Jed even made the coaches have weekly meetings with him to go over the game plan. He should just get the heck out of the way.

One of the chief sources of Harbaugh's conflict with the 49ers brass cited was with Marathe.

http://www.ninersnation.com/2015/11/19/9698608/paraag-marathe-the-man-behind-the-curtain

Marathe active game involvement is something that has been discussed in a limited manner, but has picked up a bit of steam more recently. Play calling and other football decisions – normally reserved the coaching staff – was a point of escalating tension under Nolan, Singletary and finally Jim Harbaugh's coaching tenure. Marathe – an analytics guru and numbers cruncher – often presented mid-game suggestions for Harbaugh to go for it on fourth down, or go for two instead of kicking an extra point. At certain points, Marathe was even given a chair in the coaches booth and put in charge of replays and determining whether or not to suggest challenging questionable calls.

Marathe's active game day role underscores one of the primary criticisms leveled at Jed York: that he and his fellow suits in the owners suite meddle too much with football decisions, and that has contributed to one of the most stunning collapses of a successful sports franchise. It also highlights the growing chasm between football strategists who rely on the growing body of analytics and statistics available versus the more old school types who remain wary of using newfangled algorithms to coach football.

Harbaugh also has a strained relationship with team president Paraag Marathe, according to the website's sources.

Why would the head coach have a strained relationship with the gap guru and chief negotiator, unless that person was overstepping their bounds and getting all up in the coach's business?
