Jeremy Kerley - Must-sign. Currently on-pace for 672 yards which is stellar from the slot (Zebra & Eagle/E)WR position and is our #1 target on 3rd downs. Given we run 3-WR sets over 80% of the time, Kerley will continue to be a big part of this offense. In on 76% of the offensive snaps.
Gerald Hodges - #3 on the team in tackles (79) despite only being in on 50.28% of the defensive snap counts. Has 3 sacks (2nd), 3 TFL, 2 INT's, 1 FF and 1 Recovery. Plays with passion and seems to have gotten more sound with each game in this scheme as the season's progressed.
Andrew Tiller - Would easily be a starter in a power scheme and had great chemistry with Brown on the right side of the OL.
Glenn Dorsey - While only playing in 33% of the defensive snaps, you could instantly see higher quality play when he's in there compared to Mike Purcell and an injured Quinton Dial. We need a veteran presence as insurance.
Chris Jones - Really nice late addition who has now played both end positions and is now getting many snaps at NT. Solid depth with some upside.
Nick Bellore - He's #52 or #53 on your roster for ST purposes but now has some added experience at ILB in this defense.
Rod Streater - Rarely got to start but when he did, he performed. Only used on 22% of the snaps. He's a bigger body compared to Quinton Patton (we saw how that helped on the TD). I'd like to see him compete with the other two big-bodied ZWR's on the roster in DeAndre Smelter and Eric Rogers.

It's concerning NC.

Where does this put us with the time line on the rebuild? Dark ages?

Nah. This is a 7-8 win talent team. But we've got some work to do. With a top 2 pick, like last year, we should be able to add another impact player...maybe two if we're lucky. QB...Jimmy Gorropolo or Mitch Trubisky or Garrett or Allen.

We need to go HARD for Poe or Williams at NT in free agency, Britt at the ZWR, resign Kerley, add a FB, an ILB and CB.

Quality coaching + professional schemes/game planning + Health = chance to be competitive next year.

I like Poe. Kerley looked good at times. Funny that we had what seemed like too many CB after the draft last year. ILB was such a surprise failure with little to zero depth. QB position has been so unsettled that the direction of the team is confusing at best. Jimmy G would be good but trading for a first?

Apart from Health is my biggest concern is that we can't fix the above properly while Paraag and Jed are playing fantasy league with the niners.

I like your optimism and I hope you are accurate with the personnel improvement. Need a GM and Coach very soon.

It wasn't renamed it's an old thread from the Singletary era
