Well, this is from 2005 and we can see how he's gone from scapegoat to the future is now.

I wonder how many more interviews before Jed names him the GM?
That is probably coming in the near future IMO.
Well one good thing if he becomes gm. He will get fired in about ten years for sure

All teams have people who do what PM does, however, few of them have that person doing primary interviews.

Exactly, how many contract guys lead/co-lead GM/HC interviews?

He has been doing it since 2005 at least...

Nevertheless, Marathe was asked by York to lead the head-coaching research, and his profile skyrocketed.
Marathe studied 120 coaches to determine where the most successful NFL coaches come from, and what makes them excel once they have the job. Along with other factors, Marathe discovered that coaches who were with successful teams and worked with winning coaches made the best future coach.
The 49ers' short list of candidates was determined partly by Marathe's criteria. The interview process included a meal with John and Jed York, and then a sit-down with John York, Marathe and Tumey. York ultimately determined the next man to lead the 49ers.
York said Marathe was involved in the head-coaching interviews because York trusted him.

We are screwed
My suggestion to GM and HC candidates...laminated development charts/plans or game plans. They're so pretty and Paraag likes neat charts! Use a lot of letters...he knows numbers and will find an error in your math so...
According to maraathes criteria bill walsh would never be hired. Cincinatti in the 60's? Not standing out. Successful coaches? Well the head llach was moderately successful because bill walsh was on his staff.

At the end of the day you cant rely on indirect measures. You have to know the work and judge the work. Maraathe is not in a position to do that, and doesnt analyze his situation objectively.

So yes we are down to luck and hoping the coach fairy leaves a winner under our pillow in the morning.

Yeah, fully aware of this one. Thoroughly reading through this thread is eye opening.
Playing money-ball with a coach just doesn't work. You can't measure on base percentage etc the same way you measure a coaches leadership ability and eye for talent.

When an owner/manager has no feel for the business, numbers just don't work. There is so much context that needs to be considered and numbers are just a part of that calculation.

How have Paarag's analytics worked out so far

I think this goes deeper than his analytics. Dr. York is a scientist and likes data driven decisions. But as they know nothing about football the data may lack context.
Can we all just look at the first page and laugh? It's literally a carbon copy of the Baalke and York threads.

This fanbase suffers from severe bipolar disorder lol

It's the unholy trinity
Hope Paraag is using his analytics to determine that Wolf is the best GM candidate
