Paraag paints by numbers.

If you paint a starry night, you keep frank gore.

I know that makes no sense. Point is, sometimes you look past numbers and keep whats special. Paraag cant do that.
Wat !

PM is not the GM lol

PM is not the GM lol

His fingerprints were all over the Frank FA bungle. He would never argue otherwise.

He was the boss of football operations while this team imploded and made zero good decisions and bad decision after bad decision. The problems of the past few years are on him.
The success of Lynch and Shanahan will also be on him but right now he has to wear the problems of 2014-2016. That is what being the boss is all about.

The PM's Moneyball philosophy is all over the roster of the last two years.

eh....is it?

Two possibilities:
  1. "Paraag's Moneyball philosophy" trumps whatever Baalke wanted to do, and dictated that we don't sign Free Agents, and don't re-sign valuable assets. Then, Jed sees the light, fires Baalke, but keeps Paraag, and tells Paraag to back off, and give Lynch whatever he wants.
  2. Paraag handles contracts. If the GM (Baalke) doesn't want to keep talent (Gore, for example), then Paraag doesn't do the contract. If the GM wants to sign Malcom Smith (Lynch), then Paraag does the contract.

#1 has more drama and intrigue, and makes for a good story. #2 seems pretty simple. What sounds more likely?

paraag has been involved in ops forever because hes a trusted advisor to lord fahrquardt. So, he's the sounding board to all GM brainwaves and reinforces the ones he likes and disspates the ones he doesn't. Oh yea, there were no job titles in the last fo structure, in case you didn't notice. just the three amigos, riding into the sunset of irrelevance.

That was a nice trade Paraag put together. That 3rd and 4th round pick are huge. The 3rd next year total bonus
If true, what a savvy move by Paraag
Where has it been said that Paraag was the one doing the trade values during the draft? Just curious

Lynch himself said in his press conference he left Paraag to work through the details with the Bears. Full credit to him he nailed it.

Bout 4.30 in or so.
Paraage's work essentially landed us Reuben Foster to finally plug the hole Willis left.
So Bill Walsh hired him to come up with a trade value system and John Lynch uses him properly for that in his first draft and we trade two times and win.

Go team!
Marathe asked: "What if Foster falls, free falls, and he's sitting there at 25?"

Give credit to Parage for working the trades. Good stuff. He's an asset to the team, despite the negative reports.
