Because he's the hero Gotham deserves, but not the one it needs right now. So we'll hunt him. Because he can take it. Because he's not our hero. He's a silent guardian. A watchful protector. A Dark Knight.

Interesting, dude on KNBR saying he won't be surprised if Marathe is interviewing for GM positions next year.

Paraag owes Peter King some serious $$.

Hey, the Bills just fired Doug Whaley it would be interesting to see if Buffalo comes after him. As long as he sticks to his draft trade chart an cap wizardry he is a very valuable asset to the team. If he were to bolt to say Buffalo we would definitely need to find another draft stud as he is among the best in the league in that area and I would miss his ability there.

Isn't her very close and loyal to the Yorks? 17 years is a long time. I am sure he is compensated well.

Ignoring 10+ years of fail that Paraag has been involved in huh? You should look up what Walsh actually thought of him.

Same concept with Jed...Paraag was still probably way overstepping bounds, got too involved, was Jed's bestie, etc. But for his role here...and now...he added great value to this draft process and we need to give him credit, just like Jed for taking a chance on Lynch and for the hiring of Kyle.

Give credit to Parage for working the trades. Good stuff. He's an asset to the team, despite the negative reports.

Good article by Peter King

Just when I think Paraag couldn't possibly be more meddling, he goes and does something like this and totally redeems himself.

Yea, I thought Jed "demoted" Paraag to get a little more distance between him and team decisions. I was surprised to read that Paraag was the person on our end of all the trade requests. But, props to him because whatever they were doing looks like it worked out well.

Classic line.
Are we supposed to like Paraag now lol? Maybe this is the first time in a while that he has been used properly outside of contract negotiations.

We are not supposed to like him or dislike him but his role should be clear which Lynch has made it. Jed, Baalke, Harbaugh, or Nolan never clearly described his role making it appear as if Paraag should not be talked about because he's Jed's buddy. Lynch's ability to be comfortable within himself has clearly presented Paraag someone who handles the business acquisitions side of player/personnel. This includes handling salary of players and draft values. Paraag's only roll during the draft was to be the phone agent until something was near closing which is when the Football guys jumped in to confirm the move.

It was good to see that they all seem to have a very comfortable relationship in that they all felt comfortable giving their own opinions on how the draft was going to shape up. Previous admins seemed as though they didn't want anyone else's voices heard in the media...sometimes, even their own which created a dark and empty environment.

It makes sense to have Paraage manning the phone and be the guy at the front line. Both Lynch and Shanahan are new to the process. Paraage has been doing contract negotiations, so he knows how to deal, and I'm sure he knows draft position values. Things go quickly within minutes over the phone on draft day. You don't want a guy on the phone saying , 'Ok, let me look at the value chart...'

Sounds like this wasn't Paraage's first rodeo. He might have done something similar in some capacity before with Baalke taking the bulk of the decisions. Paraage was there to facilitate John and Shanahan's decision, he wasn't a decision maker. And only offered possibilities. If someone at the top thinks that's meddling than that's more on their job insecurity.

Paraage did a good job and hopefully he can retool and Kyle can reschool the current representatives of our great Franchise.

We will hopefully feel an affirmation of pride come next season as we see our team start to gain traction and respect around the league.

I believe this is the beginning of something big Gentlemen.

Isn't that the truth, Thl?

He is a numbers guy and good at it. So long as he doesn't try to get into evaluating a player's talent and thread on Lynch, Peters territory all will be good. He supposedly was here when Walsh was here in his second go around. Lynch threw him a bone and acknowledged his work. Still, I wonder who is the leak during the Baalke era, Lombardi's son, Paraage or who?

As much as I dislike Jed for his past decisions, I have to give him props for hiring Kyle and Lynch and pretty much saying *oops* I gotta apologize to Harbaugh for my stupidity in his interview. I hope he stays out of the footballs stuff and keep to his job of being an NFL owner and giving free tickets to fans.

Wow, that's news to me that other clubs are interested in Paraage, although in hindsight, I shouldn't be surprised with his Cap-a-nomics skill set. I agree, he definitely is good at what he does, but he has to know his limitations regarding player evaluations vs cap evaluations.
We seem to be going in the right direction now.

After stalling and going backwards several times.
