Yeah, the advantage of being top 3 in cap space is being able to front load your bigger contracts and get them out of the way and entice the FA to accept ripcords in case things don't work out.

Paraag is fully taking advantage of that which is smart! Buckner should cost around $19M and Kittle around $11M should be the last two big in-house deals left and that's with paying your FQB and getting a huge chunk of that out of the way early to reduce APY.

I doubt we'll ever get under #20 for cap space; but everyone should have no issues fitting under this cap structure.

Outstanding. It's great wisdom, and great team structure for us to be doing this. People may not like it, but you have to protect the team. The NFL will not become the NBA, run by the players who flop teams and have no fan base loyalty.

I appreciate his business mind, and his ability to think down the road and prevent future mishaps. Good on him.

Good question. I'm sure our FO have agents/agencies they can't stand working "with" [cough, CAA, cough] and likewise.

Sounds like a hater
I'm sorry any job in the world you are paid to perform. Bad performance then you don't deserve to get paid like the best. Want to eliminate it then tell the players to strike and get rid of the salary cap. I see the point about teams already having players after the 1st. Oh well. Millionaires and Billionaires problems living in fantasy land.

I wish they would get rid of agents and bring in a neutral party looking out for both sides to negotiate contracts. Don't get it twisted agents push players to go places they don't want to go just so the agent gets paid more while the owners just look out for their pocketbooks. Such is life. I could care less I love Paraag. Makes up for our dumb decisions when Jed pays the wrong players. Players come and go but the laundry stays. I just want winning football regardless who's wearing what or getting paid what. I got my own problems.
I can see why Sherman doesnt have an agent now.
Lol at an agent basically admitting that they are garbage at their job. "But that team actually requires me to work and stuff when I could just be golfing!"

This is horsecrap. Sure you're complaining about an April 1 option to release but nowhere in the article is there a complaint about $41M in guaranteed cash that's already been given to Jimmy G... who has played combined maybe 7 games? Stop it.

Agents have to look out for their clients but by the same token teams have to look out for themselves.

There is a give and take but nobody is forcing these players to sign these contracts. The agent in question complaining should maybe try blaming the agents responsible for negotiating these deals and blame the players for choosing to sign these deals.

Yep. This guy is complaining that the team signs team-friendly deals. Um, ok. What does he expect? Does he imagine the team is a charity?

Exactly.

Hopefully his open complaint comes back to bite him in the ass with more teams adopting this style of contract going forward
