It will help Praag out if ShanaLynch drafts well and acquires good players via undrafted or via trades and free agency. I think front loaded contracts have to continue to be used, and avoid like hell any backloaded contracts.
It's not front loaded vs backloaded contracts - are bad, but rather the guaranteed money that's involved in both kinds.
Back loaded contracts really - over time- really become divorced with a players market value. Look at McKinnon- market value-wise his value is pretty near zero because of injuries, imagine if Praag wrote a back loaded contract for McKinnon? It would have been a disaster.
In a sense the average NFL players value declines over time vs what back loaded contracts do over time -- which is to go the opposite. Of course it depends on age, but 2nd contracts are given when a typical player 28-ish, and they do physically significantly decline after age 30. Pierre Garcon was (in a sense) a great example of that.
