He also introduced Nessa to both Aldon and Kaep. Advanced analytics.

Nobody knows what Marathe really does, he's seemingly had his hand in everything over 13 years, from overruling Walsh during the draft, to hanging out in the coaches box during games, negotiating contracts, leading coaching searches, hiring interims independent of the normal staff to watch film and report back to him.....it just goes on and on.

Yeah...this organization is in the drain right now. No one is going to want to coach or play for this team.......hence....JT will be here for awhile. Hey...maybe Paraag can be the OC and DC?

Mostly because if you look at the past 13 years, this is an organization that seems to thrive on backbiting and backstabbing and when your official MO is to leak stuff to the media, other people in your organization will follow suit, whether you want them to or not.

Based on over a decade's worth of reports on Marathe and the highly coincidental(or not) timing of the team falling apart beginning right around when Marathe replaced Yu as team president, it doesn't require much imagination or a belief in conspiracy theories to get a general idea of what is going on, and none of it is good at all.

where is the proof. where are the facts and evidence that the reason harbaugh left is cause he couldnt get along with jed or baalke. where is the facts and evidence that parag is the one screwin this all up. kawakami an florio reporting that "sources say" is not any kind of proof! that is exactly what reporters are paid to do! make stories! i understand what your saying and agree that this has happend before but there has still yet to be any single instance of proving ANY tweets and speculations to be the real reason for things. its HILARIOUS all the sudden that we suck everyone has completely forgotten how much the fan base b***hed about harbaughs offense and his refusal to adapt it and him an romans refusal to try new things. so what all the sudden that never happend? thats not a viable option?? that is why he was canned! im not backing our FO in any way baalke must go he has let our roster become embarassing and im not talking about any one person in particular when i say im so sick of people just following whatever is reported about the 49ers in news headlines an not what is actually happening on the damn football field.

Could you elaborate on this? I've never heard this story before! (Or I at least don't remember it.) Do we know what players/picks were involved, or was this just a vague report/rumor? Not saying I don't you, just interested in hearing more about it.

The "proof" is that it actually happened, it's not rocket surgery

If they had a real problem with him and wanted him out, OK. Bigger problem is they had no plan or idea who to replace him with. F*cked that up royally. You can't go from that kind of success to what we are seeing here without losing the confidence and support of your fan base because of horrible hires and decision making.

Baalke must go but who do you want replacing him? One of the guys who was responsible for Nolan, Sing and Tomsula hires?
Marathe has reason to set the narrative and this team has a lot of leaks but even if Marathe has nothing to do with it I see no reason to continue to keep him in charge of football operations. he was a big part of the pre-Harbaugh suck and he is a big part of the post Harbaugh suck. Clean house and start over on the football operations side, get someone in and let them choose a GM an let the GM and ops guy choose the coach and let those three run the draft and hire a staff. Otherwise the team may just keep starting over year after year like they did until Harbaugh came to town.

I have been talking about this guy's influence for 10 years, here is an article from 2005:

The industrious Marathe won the admiration of York, a licensed pathologist who admittedly relied heavily on his business background (running laboratories and race tracks) to steer his ownership of the 49ers.
"John is a scientist," a source close to York said on the condition of anonymity. "He loves proofs and statistical models."
In his projects, Marathe created graphs and charts that impressed York. After working with the 49ers for 18 months, Marathe befriended Jed York, John's eldest son. Seemingly, as the 23-year-old Jed became more visible at the 49ers' headquarters, eventually joining high-level meetings, so did Marathe.
Marathe's ascension coincided with the departure of Walsh and director of football operations John McVay, which could have been more than a coincidence. Privately, neither liked the statistical approach Donahue espoused. Marathe and his computer shot down Walsh and McVay's trade proposals during the 2003 draft. This didn't sit well with either man, who had built the 49ers' success partly on their impulses.
Contacted recently, Walsh didn't want to comment on the team's direction.
"Can a computer help determine who you pick on draft day?" Walsh asked. "I don't know, maybe it can."

Donahue also declined to comment.
As Walsh's influence faded, Donahue's system, which he kept secret for the most part, took root. Donahue and York allowed Marathe to hire interns to watch film and provide the scouting department with new statistics on players.
But Dennis Erickson's old-school coaches weren't informed of these hires. So they walked past Marathe's interns "breaking down" film and wondered what was going on

I recall hearing Walsh on KNBR about this time talk about how the Yorks had been paying him to count paperclips and that nobody in the FO was interested in his input at all.

Ugh this makes me so sick. I don't even know what to say.
Lets face the facts, Jed isn't going to fire himself, maybe mommy does but I don't think so. I think most agree that serious change needs to happen to UPPER management. So Pragaag and Trent at a minimum need to be removed ASAP it's unfortunate but it seems to be true. Who they replace them with is the million dollar question, it should go without saying the incompetence of the current cast of coaching stiffs will be long gone.
The next management structure is way above my pay grade but as a starter I would suggest Geep gone today and Wiesenhunt hired this afternoon.
