I recall hearing Walsh on KNBR about this time talk about how the Yorks had been paying him to count paperclips and that nobody in the FO was interested in his input at all.
Thanks, this article was very intriguing.

Walsh didn't say that at all. I hate when people make things up. It's soooo frustrating. There is no Praage conspiracy. I still see WooLick is spreading baseless claims in NT.

If you didn't read it gents, it didn't happen.

What do you mean by that? I heard it with my own ears. Do you think Lynch made up the quote in the article and made up the trade veto story?

Dude we've done this before and the claims you make about Praag aren't remotely true and the innuendo about Walsh is even worse. You mix what you think yo heard which isn't written anywhere. And yes Lynch is SPECULATING which he says himself from sources. Stop it bro.

it looks like Paraag's interns are busy today defending their leader...

I think I have posted nothing but the truth about his role in the organization. I believe Lynch, Barbieri and what I have read and heard.
Do you think the culture and direction of the team are good under Marathe?

I think you imply with a lot of innuendo and supposition and the sources and names you put forward as hard evidence would also say their opinion writers like Ratto, Killion and Kawakami who write very creatively but at the end of the day even they can't say on the record their suppositions are true. I think that's misleading for fans who take everything they say as gospel.

I do know one thing - the organization has gone to the Super Bowl, been in the playoffs 4 straight years and has done wonders and stayed competitive.

When are you asking me this question? When the team is down? Where was this question in 2011? 2012? Where were all the Praag is the detrimental hidden power bringing down the organization threads then? Wasn't still doing that s**t then? Wasn't he still the "moneyball" guy? Or did that disappear? Oh I know Harabaugh ran everything and that's what it was .....

Many here want to heap criticism for bad times and not give any praise for what was accomplished. What I think really doesn't matter in the end because I don't take a daily referendum on the team's/organizations performance. Do I think mistakes were made - sure and that's what humans do, but I refuse to buy into the rumors and innuendo that's cool right now.

People need to get real.

Thats cool and all, but it isn't just people here. Outside people like that NN lady is saying it. If you don't think it's true, find me another source that says it isn't true.

If you think she is a nobody without connections, let's see you get something published if it doesn't take much.

The problems didn't start until Jim's contract talks begun. That's Paraage's territory. I don't believe everything about Paraage, but I don't close my eyes to it either. Jed wants this team to be like his uncle's team. Paraage tried to overtake Bill Walsh. One of these two are playing a different game.

I remember, during the Nolan era, reporters were wondering and repeatedly asking what is Paraage doing in the booth. His name seems to put him in some odd situations. That's when eyes should start opening. Everything was all fine and dandy until Jim Harbaugh's contract began to reach its end. There's only one guy who does contracts.

I don't know, there seems to be a common theme here.

Oh, In think they did well hiring Harbaugh (certainly better than their previous two choices) and then screwed up a good thing and I think Yu may have been a positive influence. The team is a rudderless ship right now. I think it is time for them to cede the football operations to someone else.

3 years straight, with Harbaugh as HC and Yu as team president.

Marathe became team president in early 2014, Harbaugh is gone, the team has a mediocre head coach and suddenly its like this franchise is back in 2006 again.

This happens all the time!

Source: Kaep is on an island.

Hits Twitter cycle: Kaep is on an island.

Players: Kape ain't on no damn island (he just sucks).

No - that's not how it works. A rumor isn't the truth until it's disproven. A rumor is a rumor until proven true.
And then the reports come out of VD and Kap getting into it. There was truth to it.

I believe it, I'll take her word for it over yours and the non sources you have.

Where there is smoke, there is fire. Prior to 2011 it was the Jed and Marathe show. 2014 onwards it is the same thing.

Coincidentally the only winning records that this team since 2003 happened with Yu as team president and Harbaugh keeping Marathe at arm's length.

All a coincidence that this team went back to being craptastic with the same guys running things as during the Singletary era I'm sure.

His name has been connected to a lot of bad 49ers moves. I bet Yu wanted us to pay Harbugh for an extension.

As soon as a football guy leaves, so do the football decisions. York and Paraage are making corporate decisions and actions. Father York did this too.

SMH for some who can't connect the dots.

Other than 2011-2014, this organization from 2003 to the present has ranged from mediocre to awful with only three constants. John York. Jed York. Paraag Marathe. Not one of those individuals had any previous football background.
