49er fans, I know most of you want to see York sell the team and think he's ill equipped to run the franchise- and you may be right - and I know you want to see Baalke fired b/c he is the GM who acquired no one this last off-season that has helped move the needle, and hired Tomsula, whom you also want gone. But if you go back a few years and look at who within the organization has gained the most power and pulled the most strings it's none of the above.

The man you REALLY want gone from the organization is Paraag Marathe. He is the man who has risen the most from within and while I credit his work on the salary cap and contracts he has superseded both Baalke and York for most influential. Whatever he says is gold to York, and Baalke is just doing what his owner wants which is really what Marathe wants.

Marathe has grown so powerful he now practically has seat in the coaches box and helps call plays - yeah, bet you didn't know that - he is using his analytics to dictate what the coaching staff calls. Hence, why Tomsula keeps punting and the organization has yet to speak out about it and why Tomsula keeps saying he would "do it again."

Safe to say Harbaugh's biggest issue within the organization was Marathe's meddling with coaches and calls which led to York deciding, not between Baalke and Harbaugh, but Marathe and Harbaugh - that's why there were so many conflicting reports about the Baalke/Harbaugh relationship towards the end of the season. I believe Marathe/York were pissed with the calls made by Harbaugh that cost us the SB and last Conf Championship game and used that to convince York that his analysis could do the the job of Harbaugh and that they just needed a coach who would comply - enter Tomsula - and follow his analysis. Tomsula has made several mentions to this throughout the year.

So the next time someone wants to fly banner over the field it should read "Fire Marathe A.K.A. Wormtongue" b/c he is basically that guy from LoTR who has full control of the King (York).

Has nothing to do with race, nothing to do with color....Has to do wiht how he grew up. And based on the moves he has "made" or drafts or trades or FAs he has helped out with...you tell me. Has he done a sterling job? This guy is EVP of football ops. EVP! And reports have been that this is the Jedi's #1 go to man. So you tell me. Man in building this team? I don't think so. We are so paralyzed that it seems there is nowhere to go. It is as if a guy from Mars has been making our personnel decisions, our GM and HC decisions. Nobody is going to dispute that. It looks like a guy is in charge who has no ruddy idea WTF he is doing. Maybe everyone is lying and he has nothing to do wth making the important personnel decisions, or maybe he isn't Jed's #1 man as has been reported. But looking at that mess out on the field, my gut tells me this is a guy who has been promoted way beyond his level of expertise, Peter's principle if you will.

It looks like a guy who has grown up around and playing football (European and S.American, and Asian, football...aka SOCCER)....not NFL football. And if you don't believe it, just take a gander at that hot mess on the field on Sun. Bullcrap that this is racist. What it is....is a guy with no idea what he is doing , and making executive decisions at that. Everybody wants Trent gone....FINE . Just be sure paraag precedes him out the door. And this business of cap numbers and paraag's expertise? Does anyone think he wasn't whispering in Jed's ear last yr during FA, "No, don't pay that much for that OLB, for that WR, for that ILB....It will screw up my cap values." Anybody think that really wasn't a part of last yr's FA?

BEcause we had lots of holes, lots of money, and it sure looked like our side was lowballing the guys who went in the first two days.....you know, all the all pro guys. And we didn't get squaddle out of that . But I will tell you what. At the end of FA, 2nd day, paraag sure had his cap numbers nice and tiddy. To hell wth that. The first sentence of this post is ignorant and disgusting. First off, he isn't a foreigner because he's brown. He grew up in the Bay Area. Secondly, someone born in a different country can work in an NFL front office.

But we certainly can get rid of the guys , the Peter Principle guys, who have broken our backs, our spirit, and our team. It has been an inside job, and we obviously need to clean house...as much as is doable. I have no idea what will happen, but starting over probably isn't such a bad idea. I actually thought it might ibe a good idea to keep chip around, but after watching his worn out Ds, his unhhh, rather subdued or minimalistic playcalling, nope. So if chip goes, Trent goes, O'Neil of course, then paraag goes too...or we are right back where we started.

I don't care if he's white, brown, black, purple or pink...he can draft contracts for our players but that is all. If that isn't enough for him, then he can get swept up in the house cleaning. Hopefully Jed's neutered this offseason and whoever takes control will keep Paraag away from personnel decisions or leaking any information to the press.

No, making note of someone's race, and then making unsubstantiated assumptions based on their race is pretty much textbook racism. Not just someone's opinion of what is racism.

Paraag grew up around football, I posted evidence of that. You didn't even bother to do a cursory google search to find out, rather relied on the notion that since he looks brown, he obviously has foreign interests.
