I can go with Justin Smith on this. I'm not gonna go with the obvious ones.

Andy Lee is the white version of Patrick Willis.

I've even got myself an autographed Josh Morgan and Nate Davis jersey (pretty easy to get signed when you're the only one at Family Day/TC wearing their jersey)

I have to agree, Frank Gore is my favorite 49er. Patrick Willis, Justin Smith and Michael Crabtree follow in that order.

Frank Gore has been the heart of this team ever since he took over as the starter in 2006. Patrick Willis is our best player and is one of the best defensive players in the league. He still has room to grow and get even better, which is scary (for other teams). Justin Smith is just a beast and never stops. I think he's our most underrated player and one of the most underrated players in the league even though he was in the pro bowl this year. The guy simply doesn't get as much credit as he should. Michael Crabtree I believe is something special and I have been supporting him since before the draft. That support did not stop during the holdout, unlike many others on here who claimed they didn't even want him anymore because of the whole situation.

Vernon Davis is an honorable mention. Once he stops dropping passes, he'll probably rise into the top of my list. I also think Goldson is on the verge of getting an honorable mention. He needs to work on his coverage skills, but I like the way he gets after ball carriers and the way he flies around the field. With a little more consistency from our pass rush, he could become a ball-hawking FS.
Willis.

I would question my love for the niners if he leaves

That's kinda sad, man. I'm willing to bet he will eventually leave and end his career elsewhere. Hopefully it will be at the end of his career, but I'm almost certain it will happen at some point given the way the NFL works these days.

I'm hoping he will be around for at least 12 years, but you never know.

When he leaves, my love for the Niners will remain untested.
