3 months ago, no one would have wanted Carr on this team, and now people are saying he should start. It's insane.
I want whomever gives us a better chance to make and win in the playoffs. I don't care who starts as long as it's the better QB.
And why on earth do you think Carr is that person? Because of his enthusiastic Twitter posts?
I don't really, but he is a 49er and I support him and want him to succeed.

Commentator: "Carr is driving the 49ers offense towards the endzone."

Hmm interesting. Most "fans" don't have that attitude with Smith.

I am hoping Alex starts every game this year and plays well. I was a big-time Alex Smith hater before, but if he gets hurt or stinks up the joint again, I am worried Carr will look like the 2007 trent dilfer.

If it is of any comfort to you, Carr will start....IF Alex gets injured. Like it or not we are stuck with both QB's who are very similar. Especially the way the were 'thrown to the wolves' after being drafted. which one, if either can overcome this? That should be your question. Until that question is answered.....and/or Our Beloved Team finds a franchise QB, we are stuck in mediocrity.

LMAO
Alex Smith is the guy and this is Smiths make or break year.. Carr is nothing more than a backup to help Smith and give us a #2 that can actually throw 30+yds with velocity.. (No dissing Hill, guy played his heart out..) Nate Davis can sit and learn from 2 #1 overall picks
Great point; I totaly agree.

from Montana vs Young to Alex Smith vs David Carr, the football gods must be balancing the Karma from the 80s and 90s.
I can't believe McCloughan and Singletary are actually putting their jobs on the line behind these two busts.
Betcha Nate Davis outplays both in the preseason but still gets no shot or credit.
