Nate Davis has a much higher ceiling than carr and smith IMHO. Maybe smith will pull a balmer? Just kidding, I have to hope alex starts to perform at a high level.

But I am glad the niners have carr on the squad.

The funny part about that is sure, Carr is a guy that can win games with Smith's absence. But
with Smith IN we cannot win games. The Alexcuses keep rolling. 3rd stringers, no Gore, No
Crabs....etc. Carr and Davis both looked better, regardless of who they were playing against.

Davis looked better last pre-season, in fact he has looked better everytime he has played in games, pre-season, whatever. Unfortunate that terrible ownership and coaching decisions are
letting this season rest on an un-proven Smith.

The Smith supporters think that all of a sudden the regular season is going to come along and
Smith will be better. What is that based on for crying out loud?? He will be facing better
defenses and defensive schemes but all of a sudden the light will turn on and he will be a better
QB???

Carr and Davis both perform better and all of the hate directed at them is cowardly. Nobody
wants to admit that SMITH is GARBAGE. If Carr had to battle Smith in camp, no way Smith
wins. Smith couldn't even beat out Shawn Hill. I just don't understand the love affair for a whack
QB.

Cowardly? What a funny chap you are, to be sure.

As to the rest, it's all been said. Curiously, the professionals, those whose jobs depend on it, don't seem to agree with
you.

Professionals??? Most of them think he's not a good QB..

That's why they keep picking him as starter is it? I am not talking about the hangers-on who blog. I am talking about the coaches. You think Singletary would choose him to start if he really was the worst of the three? And put his own career in jeopardy?

By the way, this is the D. Carr Caravan, right??

Funnily, I thought this was the 49ers web zone. Apparently not.

I am out of here. You carry on b***hing

Every poster above mentioned Smith including you a couple of times. Why not just ignore to keep the thread on track? I'm not sure I have ever seen a post by you anywhere where you didn't find the opportunity to bash Smith.

that's fly for ya
I thought signing Carr to replace Shaun Hill's bad joke of an arm was a great move and he looked excellent today. Should Smith falter, I think Carr can come in and rejuvenate his carer with this talent and this maturing line.

Anytime someone suggests "should smith falter" or "replace Smith" the sarcasm just flows in the zone. Nobody wants accept reality for what is is. Lots of rose colored glasses in here.

To be fair once he started throwing the ball and not taking so many sacks he looked pretty good.
