David's Carr Needs a Mechanic.

i also remember carr going 7/17 for like 50 yards in that game. i want a new qb also but we dont have anyone who would be better than smith, as hard as it is to believe. leave smith in there, go like 2-14 and draft Andrew Luck and hire Jon Gruden, or hope big ben r*pe's another girl and trade for him.

Personally I kind of agree. I liked Smith before but he just can't seem to make things happen on the field. Even as a 2nd year player who wasn't great, he could make throws down the sideline before he hurt his shoulder. Right now Carr can probably atleast check down more accurately and throw some deep shots better.

I agree with Rice. I mean if your offense does not score then you always look at offensive line changes or the quarterback. Alex Smith is a failure as a pro quarterback. I mean 6 years in the league and you still can't perform. Smith has thrown an int in every game this year!!! It's bench time for Smith.

Playing David Carr is another disaster waiting to happen. We know what will happen with him. He'll hold the ball too long and take lots of sacks. And, throw lots of picks.

I'd prefer to skip over him and play Troy Smith or Nate Davis. They could be disasters too though.

I tend to agree that Carr probably needs a better O line than we seem to have right now. The line should get much better with time, hopefully.

I have no idea what Troy would be like. Not sure anything good for the 49ers can come from a qb called
Troy, though.

Right now I would try anything.

I'm not convinced that anyone on the roster or practise squad would do any better than Smith.
