If you listen during the clip you hear that he was also kicked out of the first practice of the season by his coach for behavioral issues. Then after the punch he showed no self control or restraint and had to be forced off the field by security. Sorry, but I don't think i'm overreacting.

I'm pretty sure Singletary will get the best outta this kid. Blount has the talent no one can argue that. If Singletary can motivate(and he will) Blount then he could be with this team for a while and be a big time contributor.

I hope that he learned from his mistakes. His punishment was going undrafted and losing millions of dollars. I hope that turned on his light bulb. Singletary will set this kid straight and challenge him to be great.

Yeah, he was, but it was only because he was playing after the whistle cause he is a gamer. Don't make it sound worse that it is and know your facts buddy.

He lost his cool for 15 minutes and the rest of his life shouldn't be ruined because of that. Everyone loses their cool, it just happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time. The kid worked his ass off for 4 months to receive a second chance and did EVERYTHING that Chip Kelly (Oregon's coach) told him to do. Plus, if anyone can light a fire under someones ass and put a player's head on straight, its singletary. Look at what he did with Vernon Davis.

Give the kid a chance before you throw him under the bus. He's just a kid with all the potential in the world. If he screws up even the slightest bit, then call it quits because he deserves to lose his shot at redemption. All you guys hating on him don't know who he is because if he keeps it up, i honestly see him replacing gore in 4-5 years as our starter because Blount is legit. Learn a little bit about him besides his punch incident before you bash him...

Somewhat dissapointed as I thought he would fit fell if Coffee doesn't pan out. Would have loved to see how he was going to do in the preseason

yeah, i was definitely excited to see what he could bring. super talented guy obviously ,but he clearly had a huge uphill battle to make this team. makes sense for him.

They had one. He's in Miami now. Not saying we don't need one but it looks pretty clear that Singletary doesn't want one if those backs
