It would have been DeSean/Oher or Crabtree/Davis. It's up for debate what would have been better.

Expectations were really high when we drafted Woods who was to be the WR the Niners needed since TO left. I remember we even traded our pick with NE who drafted Wilfork (whom many wanted us to draft instead). That BUST pick is one of many reasons why Donahue is no longer GM.
Correction: Didn't we trade like twice in the 1st round. Now, I can't remember. Must...search...internet...

Considering Balmer's issues with the NCAA, yes it's safe to at least say "Balmer" and "bust" in the same sentence.

Yeah, that and Woods had such a stellar college career. On the other hand, Balmer didn't have much in terms of college play and so the expectations of him were already low.

We still would have gotten crabs. Totally different types of WR and we needed both. We wouldn't have Ginn you mean!!!

per Maiocco twitter.

49ers don't know Kentwan Balmer's whereabouts. They've gotten word to him or his representatives that his absence is unexcused.

Have to wonder how much longer Kentwan Balmer is going to be with the 49ers.

49ers say Kentwan Balmer's absence is unexcused. This might be his last day on the team.
2 years, zero contribution, and is now a no show about to be jobless.
both were late first round picks.
i think they're very similar.
