49ers don't know Kentwan Balmer's whereabouts. They've gotten word to him or his representatives that his absence is unexcused.

Have to wonder how much longer Kentwan Balmer is going to be with the 49ers.

49ers say Kentwan Balmer's absence is unexcused. This might be his last day on the team.
2 years, zero contribution, and is now a no show about to be jobless.
both were late first round picks.
i think they're very similar.
both were majot busts buts its woods for me too
Woods potential was huge they was a lot more hype around him

Oh my god — wait, I think Reed must have went ahead of our pick that year? If we took Mike Rumph over Ed Reed — I think I'd know already lol. Reed was one of my all time favorite non Niners

Both were on the team for 2 seasons. Woods missed a season in IR and Balmer missed 5 games his 2nd season. At least Woods had a TD, Balmer didn't even get a sack.
Neither were as bad as Jenkins though.

I loved the Woods pick soooooo much at the time. I thought he was an absolute steal. Still kills me to this day he was such trash. I knew Balmer was garbage from draft day.

Balmer was decent. That whole draft class was trash iirc.

Yeah the 2008 and 2009 draft classes were awful. The two best players to come out of them were Joshua Morgan and Michael Crabtree...

Woods. I really had myself convinced that he was going to be something.

Woods. Most people thought we were brilliant trading down all those times and then getting Woods who was considered one of the more NFL ready wrs that year. Dude did f all.
Balmer was an ugh pick. One year wonder that very few were excited about. Plus I think you can make a case Balmer actually produced more than Woods(not saying much) Woods garbage time TD doesn't change that he did nothing for us and was gone after one season.
