That is mind blowing.

So what's our average points allowed per game now? It's gotta be pretty good.

161 points... 13.41

157 yards today so we are up from 10 to 7th a week ago and now should be at 303.xx so 5th
Thanks!

That 13.41 has to be pretty darn close to the Raven's record isn't it? Or was that 11 for them?

Ravens D only gave up 165 all season.

With our schedule we still have an opportunity to do something special. Maybe not the best but still special.

I'd say not giving up a rushing TD would be pretty dam special. We also should break the record for holding RBs to under a hundred yards again too, right?

Yep and they shut everyone down in the playoffs including Rick Gannon and a high powered Oakland Offense, even hurt him too, and the only TD they gave up in the SB was a kick off return...

I think we're now 4 games away from tying the Gayvens for that record

This run defense is elite in terms of 100 yd games/rushing TDs allowed, but historically Minnesota in 2006 and that 2000 Baltimore team allowed less than a 1000 gross yards rushing in the entire regular season.
The defense is awesome its the number one reason we are 10-2
Is this the best 49er defense ever??
not even close....2004 comes to mind.

I still think the '97 Defense was the best, 5 players with 3 or more INT's and 3 players with double digit sacks, Stubblefield with the most at 15 sacks. But I do think this is the best run-defense ever.

13.4 points per game. Hard to dispute that.

For reference, the 1986 Bears allowed 11.7 points per game.

To match that average, we'll need to allow 26 points or less from here on.

The 1997 49ers defense allowed 16.6 points per game. Our current defense allows 13.4.

If the 49ers allow 34 points or fewer the rest of the way, they will have the lowest points allowed total in the last 10 years.

Don't forget that the current league right now are pass happy that made it more impressive.
