This is the most unpatient fanbase. Good teams are going to have bad years. When you go that deep into the playoffs for three straight seasons and are suffering the injuries we have to key personnel you are going to have some hiccups. Even bill walsh had some bad years. The key in the nfl is continuity. Switching head coaches every 4 years is a recipe for disaster. Maybe the person calling the plays needs to go, but to change the entire coaching staff at this point would be just plain stupid. What we need is to get our injured and suspended players back, and reinforce the trenches during the offseason.

I'm pretty sure this guy isn't and won't ever be conservative
Nevertheless, it will be interesting to see how this team responds under the much looser reign of Jim Tomsula. Also, you can see in practice that Tomsula isn't wedded to the run. His offensive focus seems to be on quick tempo.

Wide receiver Ted Ginn Jr. doesn't have much hair, but he said when he and his teammates took the field they let theirs down. The players felt relaxed heading into the game and it was obvious in the way they played.

DEFENSIVE TACKLE RICKY JEAN FRANCOIS "This week of practice, with Tomsula, it was like we were preparing for every situation: four minutes, two minutes. What happens when it's third-and-one? What happens when we're backed up in the end zone? He worked on every different situation so that when we got in the game it didn't feel brand new. During the season, it was like if we got to a situation we didn't know what to do."

Best quote for last.
Even 49ers President Jed York thinks the 49ers would be in the playoffs if he'd promoted interim head coach Jim Tomsula earlier.
"Should've done it sooner," York said. "We'd be playing in the playoffs right now."

Tomsula for DC for sure. Head coach? You'd need an OC that was superb at game plans and running the show.

just because the guy is a standout person and motivator doesn't mean he can run a team. We all love tomsula but he should at least show he can run a defense first which im sure he will get a chance to do next season

This guy should be given the chance to coach the rest of the way. This team has quite on Harbaugh and he doesn't want to be here. Let Tomsula go forward and cut the oc as well and promote the qb coach. and lets see what we got.
what the f**k do you know?

Um No! I'd be much happier naming Fangio as HC and bringing in a top notch OC.
