He was better than good. And to dump all of the blame on him as a result of one play is ridiculous. The team lost. His legacy is the running and catching, not to mention the blocking, that he did over the years. And the fierce personal fitness regime which iirc he shared with Rice when he arrived. Craig was a fine player and a quality person. One play doesn't change that. If you can't get over that one play the problem lies with you. Show me a running back that never fumbles.
agree. It's a popularity contest that is hard for west coast players to win. Craig revolutionized the position of full back and running back, to me that alone deserves hall of fame honors.
