The offense just improved by 90%.
It will decrease by 30% once Alex Smith steps in.
Gore is on the downside of his career, I think this may very well be his last year as a Niner.
Your 90% claim is laughably wrong though. The 49ers are clearly more effective as a passing team, and wasted too many possessions handing off to Gore instead to playing their strength.
Hopefully Harbaugh recognizes this. The offense should absolutely not be centered on Gore.

Gore is not on the downside of his career. I think he has leveled off and will give us similar production to last year for another 2 years. Leveling off is not on the downside.
Also, Gore has practically been our leading receiver nearly every year.
Frank Gore's receiving stats last year:
2010: 45 (missed 5 games): Team's leading receiver - vernon (56)
Now let's take his average receptions per game since 2006>
Frank Gore: 3.6 receptions per game
Vernon Davis (since 2007): 3.5 receptions per game
I have to say, if we are running the ball or throwing the ball, Frank Gore is our primary offense.
Power pwnage.
How so? I compared Gore's running to the passing game at large. Handing off to Gore was a losing proposition last year in comparison to passing the ball (that includes passes thrown to Gore).
There was a reason why the Niners were close to the bottom of the league in first downs last year....handing off to Gore had a lot to do with that.
You said we are clearly more effective as a passing team yet our RB, Frank Gore was the primary target which means him coming back improves our offense by a lot.

Now? Lulz.
Sounded stupid then.
True. Fans turning on a player who did nothing but give to this organization and wants to remain here to help them win in future seasons really surprised me.

Gore will have the highest yards from scrimmage total hes ever had this year and you all will worship his "old" "broken down" self again. 21 baby, Gores been a winning hand for us for all these years, he deserves a little more respect around here.

Especially since he comes back and already, quoted, visually looks like our best player.

i have a feeling the lockout will make everyone better physically. thats some much needed rest from a brutal game like football. i wouldnt be surprised if Willis has his best year this year and a lot of others put up career highs.

He had good things to say about Cap. I'm glad to hear that.

"You know, we come to the line, we've got audibles, it's never one play. With this offense, we can win every time we're at the line"
That quote alone tells you that we are going to be a much different team this year. The offense has the confidence that each and every play can go for good yardage, where as last year they got to the line and knew that the other team's D was ready for what they were going to run. This year the other team's D will be guessing, and guessing wrong, hopefully.

This offense has never heard of audibles. I predict a bunch of false starts with Vernon taking the lead.
