Still and all, the 1 absolute, positively best tackle ever made was Justin with arms around the OT. knocking him backward, and tackling the QB behind him. That beauty belongs in Canton, as does the man himself. How in the world did Cincy let him walk? What a colossal screw up, but thanks Cincy.

Yes. This.

After SF wins the SB this year, he becomes a lock for the HOF.

Yes!!! Why did they let him walk? I can't remember. Anyone?
per Bengals Board

He always was a beast. Just not a sack artist. Working in that system in SF has really showcased how good he was. Remember we used him as an end, now he is playing more a tackle/3-4 end

Because he was playing a DE in a 4-3, Switching to a DE/DT in a 3-4 was the best move he could have ever made.

who was our defensive coordinators during his time here ? didnt we have like 3-5 of them in that time ? no consistency in the system we ran

i think he was coming off an injury, or a bad season after an injury? something like that......................

2 sacks in his last season with Cincy (going off of memory)
brilliant write up of Justin Smith. A true 49er.
