I like what we saw from Tolzien in the preseason against us. I also like that the team was decisive in bringing him in. We were really holding out for that 3rd guy and it says alot that we went and grabbed him. With any luck we'll get to see him start a game for us in week 16 or 17.

I'm not going to write an I-told-you-so column about 49ers rookie quarterback Nate Davis until the conclusion of the season.Nate, of course, was the best rookie quarterback in the preseason, which wasn't surprising to anyone who followed his remarkable career at Ball State University. Too much has been made of Nate's learning disability. He learns rapidly and at a high level on the football field. He has a natural instinct for the game.By midseason, I expect Davis to begin earning playing time in San Francisco. Shaun Hill and Alex Smith can't match Nate's natural physical gifts. And 49ers offensive coordinator Jimmy Raye (one of the best at teaching pass protection) and quarterbacks coach Mike Johnson (a terrific mentor and communicator) form a perfect combo to develop Davis.I

If Harbaugh can at least make Kap and Tolzien look good to other teams in a need of a QB, I am okay with whatever they think...

I liked Tolzien a lot in the draft and have always advocated him. I don't think the skill set is that far off from Dalton. He is very accurate and has a stronger than given credit for arm. And he makes good decisions. I think he could be good. We will see.

It's always funny to me how people misuse the phrase "mirror image". A mirror image is actually the opposite of the original image....right is left, left is right etc.

Instead some people like to use it to mean clone or carbon copy.
