Fans only want to hear how great their team is and can't handle the truth. 95% of 49ers fans loved McCloughan, Terry Donahue, loved Singletary, Nolan and Trent Balke all were great right up until they got fired, at which point 95% of the 49ers fans claimed they never liked them and anybody who ever liked them were idiots. At least Cohn isn't a cheerleader for the team and thinks outside of the hive-mind. But most 49ers fans would literally hang him from a tree because he disagrees with you. It's like politics

Middlekauff is great because he just talks ball, and has some inside knowledge of scouting processes. He doesn't tend to spit out hot takes to get clicks.

Grant now covers the 49ers for SI, which makes SI lose all credibility to me.

I usually avoid the Press Democrat articles the Zone posts, so I mistakenly clicked on the SI link. About 1/3 into the article I start thinking, "WTF is this? Someone from SI writes like a 7th grader?" Low and behold I scroll back up and see its a Grant Cohn article.

What exactly do you disagree with? He's right on some and wrong on some.
But I think he's right that Hurd and Wishnowshy were over-drafted and would have been available with later picks

Why do people even pay attention to this guy?

What's funny is that he gets upset that the 49ers don't listen to what he says about drafting players 😂
