Agreed, Nolan was a horrible coach, and even worse leader, but he did add some talent, albeit raw and young at the time.

Too bad they couldn't find a coach that know WTH to do with these players, not really,--- until Harbaugh and Co. came along. I would say McCarthy and Norv but they left early. Nolan was pretty much in charge of the defense but he managed only to get it to average, and is now stinking it up in Miami. Fangio took 6 months and a lock out to evaluate what he has, knows exactly what more he needs to add, and got the same players to play lights out.

It's really cool to see it seperated like that. Really impressed with this offseason, we collected a ton of players for this team.

agreed, remember how void of talent this team was at the time nolan came in? he brought in talent through draft and FA, just never was able to coach them up on gameday's

Nolan may actually be a decent GM.

Yea nice read. It came down to Nolan's inability to create stability around smith and properly coach him up.

Demarcus Dobbs has a good chance to eventually replaced Justin Smith.

As a coach, yes he was terrible. But as a talent evaluator and recruiter, you would have to give him props.
