It still is. Nothing's changed in that regard. Note the carefully worded statement by the 49ers:

They still want more information. Prosecutors always go for the homerun with their charges. All the allegations may be true, or maybe only some of them, or maybe none of them. As outsiders we know very little about the truth here. I mean, we could just mob up and hang Foster in the street right now if immediacy is all that is desired, but that's not how civilized societies should work. The variables here are many, and the time frame is long.

Extreme example aside, all that is needed is an immediate release. Otherwise there will be a tarnish on your companies name / brand. It's not my investment, it is Jed's (or his family anyway). Just saying if I was the owner Foster would be gone.

49ers PR is taking a huge hit. We are known for the team that

1. fired Jim Harbaugh because we want to win with class
2. do not care of players kneeling
3. do not resign players who knelt
4. draft Foster
5. still keeping Foster on the team
6. immediately cutting Brock

Man, do we have PR issues. Honestly, this is embarrassing. Jed just needs to keep his team integrity comments to himself. Dude keeps digging himself, his GM and his head coaches a bigger hole.

Meh. Think Jed is doing a good job. Just pony up more money for those lawyers and get Reuben Foster a speedy acquittal.

All teams played by the same rules when Eddie was owner just like they do today.

What do you guys expect Jed to do other than exactly what he is regarding the Foster situation? I mean the only thing i could add is maybe he should have been present at the hearing.
