The Santa Clara headquarters and related facilities opened in 1988. I have no idea if there have been any notable renovations of the training rooms in the 35 years since.

Okay now there's a valid reason why injuries may be more frequent. Of course it doesn't explain all injuries, but could be a factor in some of the injuries that fall into the 'bumps and bruises' category.

Not clear to me what the owner could have done to bring in Lombardi's. He hasn't been a Snyder or Jones, thank heavens, he brought in the football guys and then took a back seat to them. Which is what most people here were pushing for in the early York days.

That could at least be chalked up to Dr. York being new at the franchise owner role. He got criticized and stopped doing it. The Bidwill family has owned the Cardinals for generations, with Michael Bidwill being in some role of leadership since 1996.

I'm sure a lot of other team's fans would swap ownership with the Niners. He hasn't done anything negative and certainly hasn't been a meddling jerk like some owners. Some fans complain about the stadium but he built that without taxpayer money. Complaints about moving out of SF are stupid since the team tried for years to find a new location in the city without success. Jed was trying before he lost the team.

SF used to be called the city that knows how. That's no longer the case. It's more like the city of not now.
