The training facilities were built in the late 80s, right? Probably could use an overhaul.

Where are they located? Thought it was on site

Wondering the same

The Santa Clara headquarters and related facilities opened in 1988. I have no idea if there have been any notable renovations of the training rooms in the 35 years since.

So even when they were based in SF they used the SC facilities? Why build a state of the art facility and not include a state of the art training facility?

Why buy a new car with base trim and not fully loaded?
In 1988 the training facility *was* state of the art.

Jed dominates owners meetings I imagine.. he is the boss
bringing back the gold standard and 49ers org First Class mentality

And most importantly 0 Super Bowl wins. What a clown.

Stonks,

Jed set the standard. The standard is Super Bowls. So he's done his job, it's up to the players now.

Unfortunately Jed is too cheap and too stupid to accomplish the ultimate victory. But he has perfected how to make a profit, keep the team just competitive enough but don't shell out the big bucks where necessary so he can still take home a couple mill a year for himself.

So what? The new facility wasn't built in 88?

What new facility? A new stadium =/= a new training facility.

  • Training Room: C+ (T-17th)

Based on the grades I have no doubt Jed will make changes. Thank god that we don't have Michael Bidwill or Shad Khan as owners.

Not sure what kind of satire game you got going on here
I refuse to believe there would be honest Jed disrespect on these boards

Dude is so far off base…you got other facilities that literally have rats running around and bathrooms that don't work and he's b***hing about SF not having enough tables and needing bigger cold tubs lol.

They got freaking cryotherapy chambers.

You want to go look at who currently has the worst training staffs/recovery situations? It's the freaking KC chiefs.

I can't stand when people toss out the Jed is cheap s**t, like they have any clue what they do and don't spend money on and it also tells me they have absolutely no idea what a salary cap is.

The salary cap has nothing to do with this (I'm sure you know), and is in place because the owners collectively want to limit how much they spend on labor, lol.

This. I've always got he feeling that Jed wanted to win a SB. Sometimes it was to his detriment, like firing Jim, thinking he could do better with that roster. You can also argue that he may have eventually found that in Kyle. I think based on their resume right now it's a toss up. I give edge to Kyle based on the roster he started with.

I don't think its a straight comparison given the Kyle's role in personnel.

Harbaugh's departure and the subsequent mess paved the way for Kyle having that kind of leverage in the first place.

My point was it's hard to blame *Jed* for not having a state of the art training facility when Eddie built one in 1988. It's simply time that is to blame. Eddie was ahead of the curve, but all the teams that dragged their feet behind him now benefitted from those later facility builds.

I know you have this weird thing where you get super defensive when you think people are attacking Jed, but that's not the case here. It's a valid question.
