I'd like a full postmortem on the Lance draft pick from John, Peters, Kyle, and later Griese's input on drafting Purdy, and if Lance asked for a trade. Obviously Purdy was the right choice, just curious.
I think Jed is excited about having the star qb for the next 15 years. I think he just wanted to tell a story. The coach is who sets the tone for the Super Bowl and I'm sure they are all focused.
His comments regarding Kyle telling him in private about how he believed Purdy was the best quarterback on the field last year in preseason were very interesting.
Someone give this dude some props.
How he's changed and embodied the 9ers spirit is heartwarming

Took Jed 15 years for Jed to learn - the less Jed the better-….not heartwarming

That's right. He got lucky on Shanahan and Lynch. Mommy put restrictions on him and limitations. When it was a total disaster. That's when he let the football guys do their work. He got super, super lucky with Purdy. The whole organization did.

How'd he get lucky when he's the one who hired them?

Yorks fumbled for 90% of 20+ years. They got lucky with Shanahan, Lynch and more so Purdy who bailed them all out. When mommy pup limits on Jed's toy play things got a little better too.

actually if you listen to kyle talk about the interview process, he credits jed for really impressing him. he said before he interviewed he didn't see it as a fit, but after speaking with jed he was envisioning joining the niners.
I love the way Jed takes care of everyone in a first class way. Makes me proud to support such an awesome organization.

on the front page of the webzone are things Eddie D used to do - insane. No wonder all the old players say "I'd walk through fire for Eddie d"
"We put Super Bowl trophies in the case. We hang Championship banners. That's what we do. We are the 49ers."

0 - 2 so far under the Yorks. Jed, John, Denise. It's all Yorks and it's their record. They can't run from it. Get BOUNCED in this one and it's 0 - 3. Well on our way to the modern day Vikings or Bills. So which is it Jed? Do we win? Because so far I see lots of NFC Championship Game losses and Super Bowl losses. If they win they are 1 - 3. Still bad but getting better and more on track. Most likely bailed out by Purdy.

People can BS all they want Jed has been Jed

I have some actual answers.

Jed stopped trying to meddle in football questiond and locker room, after Harbaugh embarrassed him.
Jed also stopped tweeting about stuff like when he did about the bad loss to Seattle on Thanksgiving. Even when Kyle and Lynch had bad games and bad losses and bad drafts, he closed his mouth.

Closing your mouth and letting football people do football work is one of the best thing an owner can do.

Look, Jed is a year older than I am. He was given decision making power in 08 at the age of 28. I don't know how many 28 year olds can handle that. Being owner/CEO of the team may have been a job that he had to grow into, and I think he has for the most part.

Eddie D was 30 when his father bought the 49ers and handed the keys to him. He didn't know what he was doing either. He made a few bad decisions before he learned.

Fun fact: Eddie D is the same age as the team (born 1946) so he and the 49ers were both 35 years old when they won the first Super Bowl.

Now Jed is 42 going on 43 and the team is going into its 78th season…
