TK also said they will spend big if the right opportunity presents itself. This is about being prudent.

Some people are just being delusional because they hate the 49ers lynch shanahan york. Nowhere did lynch say we weren't gonna spend. Tim kawakami also never said jed or the 49ers aren't gonna spend on the team. They are literally about to give Purdy a massive contract extension. Gosh some people are delusional and just want to hate on this team. (Not you hoov train)

It looks like it. They are forcing salary off the books. We are headed down to rebuild mode again. We could have several years of top 10 - 15 picks. Including this year. Which may help us be much better in 3 - 5 years. But it's going to be a rebuild now.

Stfu you have no clue what your ass is talking about

Cohn comes up with some garbage and Kwak "confirms" it. Got anyone with any credibility?

I can actually understand why the front office and head coach would be in hot water with ownership. It seems like we have been making emotional decisions, These decisions have cost ownership a lot of money as well as potential Super Bowl trophies. Just giving up three first round picks for a guy that you cut less than two years later would be enough to get these guys in hot water. But passing up on Hall of Fame players to draft busts, or signing guys to big contracts only to trade or cut them afterwards, all while still not delivering on your promise to bring a championship to the franchise can start to wear on ownership.

bottom line; ownership has been given a lot of excuses by Lynch & Kyle. The lucky thing for John Lynch and Kyle Shanahan is that they are dealing with Jed York and the York family. If Eddie D was here, they would've been gone.

You want to believe we are the current state of the Saints? go ahead.. but this team has been competitive for years and we are not even close to cap hell.

to boot we are about to pick in a draft at very beneficial spots and a lot of the top FA have been mentioned coming here as the best option

What happened the last two times we've picked number three overall?

Just having high first round picks isn't the solution, getting it right at number 11 will be very important.

We've already squandered two number three overall pics remember; Solomon Thomas and Trey Lance?

I don't know who is worse--Grant Cohn or David Lombardi. They're basically the same person on the opposite ends of the spectrum. Cohn puts a negative spin on anything 49ers related while the team can do no wrong in Lombardi's eyes.

I would say Lombardi is 70% right on things where Cohn is more 20% correct. So i think you would rather have Lombardi spinning Brock into a top 5 QB then Cohn taking the tiniest bit of truth and spin it into the worst possible scenario.

We also didn't do so well the few years that we traded away our first rounders for Lance.
I don't believe s**t what Cohn says since everything he says is negative and dramatic. But I totally can understand and see why Jed would be upset with the money he's spent on players who A haven't been worth it and now the front office wants to possible trade and B spending it on a guy like Hargrave. If I'm Jed I swear this draft better be a hit like last years, this team needs multiple starters on the cheap and legit depth
Are the Yorks going broke?

I don't think they are going broke. I think they are just over extended.
Leeds United is in first place and if they stay top 2 they will promote into the premier league. That team is gonna need some serious money to compete. I wouldn't even be surprised if the 49ers take a backseat to Leeds trying to compete in the English premier league, the most popular sports league in the world.
The world wide prestige the Yorks would receive if they can compete in the English premier league would be unparalleled.

I wonder if they would have made these same moves if we were closer to winning a championship 🤔..
