lol is almost making it to a SB really a measure of success? If so Jim Harbaugh did that 3/4 years, I doubt he would have been fired under that definition of success.

Jed says we got away from our core strengths under Harbaugh. UH hello! We had no strengths before he got here lol

It's not a measure but your logic..if jh is successful then everyone is successful even his boss

Jeds resume for football knowledge is "my uncle knew s**t" and "im a hardcore niner fan"

Nothing wrong with that...it could have been anyone of us and I don't think we would not try what Jed has done

Uh, don't forget the entire year as a financial analyst at Gugganheim Partners!

He clearly meant in the last year or two (2013-14) they got away from their core strengths of the previous years (2011-12). It's a true statement.

It's not even as if he's holding press conferences to specifically talk about these matters, either. He's doing his job, which involves public events related to ownership, such as hosting the upcoming Super Bowl this season. So expect to see him A LOT this year in such capacities. And because of this role he'll inevitably be asked about other matters. He can say no comment and be criticized for being bullish towards the media, or he can continue to say essentially the same things he clearly believes to be his viewpoint and be criticizes for moving Harbaugh out of being HC. But he's not going anywhere. This was always going to be a very public year for him regardless of the team's structure and performance.

every year is a big public year for him. Hes probably the most televised owner besides Jerry Jones. Wish the York family was like the Rooney or Mara families and just sit back and STFU for most of the time. Its like Jed tries too hard to make us believe that this is actually HIS team and not mommys

Not even close.

Jim Irsay, Dan Snyder (not by choice), & Robert Kraft all ahead just to name a few.
They also built the first new NFL stadium in California in 50 years and - I'll say it again - are hosting the Super Bowl. Of course he's going to be a more visible owner during such an era.

I'd let Baalke do the football talking for me, and I would stick to shaking hands and smiling.

Have you seen these other stiffs at owner? Jed is young bright articulate and he is trend setting. People from all over want to interview him from business to tech to sports. Folk want to talk to Jed and they want to shove a camera and mic in his face. What he has to learn though is that there are a ton of folk jealous of him and they are looking to twist his every word. Elway dumped John Fox the same way with the same wording but no one cares. Jed is in the glamour city running the storied franchise so he will be sought after and scrutinized. No one wants to talk to the rest of these boring owners. Who the f*** wants to talk to John York?

Jed just needs to shut his mouth and let the people he's hired do what they're supposed to do if they are competent enough to be successful at what they do. The last year has been an embarrassment for him.

Imagine owning a business(A very successful one at that) and one of your customers told you that you just need to shut your mouth instead of talking about your own business. How do you'd think you'd feel about that?

Exactly. lol

But in your irrelevant hypothetical scenario, Stone..., wouldn't I have to imagine that my parents owned the business and they just let me run it before I took time out of my busy owner schedule to lol at a random comment on a random internet forum? Ya think?
If jed was kidnapped by somali pirates would anybody actually bother answering that ransom call? I didn't think so either.
