we were already winning games. At a historic pace. Jed said it himself that if we dont win the super bowl then its a bust year pretty much. These are his expectations, not mine. But since he has stated them im going to hold him to it for firing the best HC this team has had in quite a long time.

Jim said he worked at the pleasure of the organization and people close to him have said he wanted to stay with the 49ers. And that is just the hanging issue in the air that I think fans, until you guys make a hire that goes and wins a Super Bowl, is going to hang over this team for a long time. It's very, very frustrating.

We have not won a Super Bowl yet, have we?

No you haven't, and so that means you've had five successful seasons and 63 busts in the history of this franchise. That's another thing I wanted to ask you about, is do you regret that comment yesterday about a Super Bowl is the only acceptable alternative? That seems wildly unrealistic and certainly creating a very difficult situation for your next coach to step in to.

If a coach doesn't understand that our standard is winning a Super Bowl, he's not the right coach for the 49ers.

Everybody wants to win a Super Bowl, but it doesn't happen every year. And are you not creating sort of a wildly unrealistic and almost silly standard there?

OK, our standard will be, 'Hey, lets just have a 7- or 8-win season this year, you know. That'd be good.'

No, standard could be the best team you could be and see what happens.

Let's win nine games next year because we only won eight games this year.

so he said himself that a 9 win season isnt good enough. If Jed cant deliver a Super Bowl, he's failed in his eyes. A 9 win season would be a huge failure. Anything under 8 and well you get the picture

I have been very critical of Jed and I think it has been more than justified. I love the niners and feel that his actions have been counter productive. He is young and his immaturity has shown more often than I would like. It's one thing to make a mistake and another to take ownership of his mistakes. While he says that he wants to be held accountable, but his actions have shown other wise. For instance his tweet on Thanksgiving. He may have been overzealous which can be forgiven. He should have issued a statement apologizing for it but never did. That is just a small sample of his actions that will continue to haunt this team. It's things like this that will prevent us from getting high caliber coaches in the future. Trent and Jed may have had their heart set on hiring JT but the ramifications of their actions already shown to be counter productive when they attempted to fill out JT staff. The fashion of which they let JH go and how they went about hiring JT will give any coach pause for consideration. Another thing that irritates me is the rumors that constantly leaked. Jed says he had nothing to do with them and no way to know who it was. Then also said that he didn't think that it had any effect on the team. That is a bunch of B.S.!!! There are ways of containing rumors. There are ways to find out who was the leak. If he wasn't involved then his lack of action to put a halt to them makes him equally guilty. Sorry I went off on a tangent there. I guess what I am trying to say is that Jed has earned all his criticism and is not likely to change any time soon. I am a niners fan and will always watch and root for them. Thanks to Jed, Baalke, and the rest of the F.O. it may be awhile before we are at the caliber of team we were just a few short years ago. Like it or not we have regressed and there is no sign of that changing any time soon! PLEASE Jed! Grow the F*** UP!!!!

Jed needs to take 5 steps back into the shadows and just STFU. This alone will solve a lot of problems.

I plan on rooting for my team. Front office politics are the least of my worries. Had Jim wanted to remain with us he would have pushed to make that happen. Why should I pull my hair out because he is gone? Jim is through so I'm onto JT!

I still think he needs to take some public relations classes.
